Why Zinc: An Overview

Zinc: Strong Fundamentals

At the beginning of April 2007, global zinc stocks had fallen to 1.8 weeks of world consumption following supply constraints and strong demand.  Reflecting this tight supply-demand balance, prices averaged US$3550 a tonne in the first five months of 2007, an increase of 33 per cent year on year.
